Metadata Definition (Admin)
Metadata definitions are common metadata schemas applied to resources.
Sidebar (SNB)
The System group in the left sidebar of Compute Admin. It manages the resources of all tenants in one place, and clicking an item opens that resource screen.

Title header
The content header that shows the title of the current screen (Metadata definitions).
Search · Toolbar
The area for searching the list, exporting to CSV, and running bulk actions on the selected items. An administrator works on the resources of all tenants without selecting a tenant.

Import metadata
Imports a metadata definition (Import).
List
A table that shows the metadata definitions (namespaces) with their applicable resource types and whether each is public or protected.

Available actions
Above the list there is an Import metadata button and a Delete button that removes the selected namespaces. The Action menu on each row offers the actions below.

Metadata definitions are Glance metadefs that provide structured metadata schema for images and other resources.
